Johnny huffman organizes us to start the meeting with the pledges

She joins this outstanding group who have made advancements in Bible study. |  |

March 19 , 2025
We start our awards section by honoring the student who has the highest score for Bible learning. She has the largest number of award patches on her vest. |  |
 | She joins the other students with awards to make an outstanding show of Bible learning accomplishment this week. Two Sparks Awanas and five T&T Awanas were honored. |
Becky led us in reviewing the attributes of God thinking about words like "sovereign" and His power over everything
. |  |
 | The boys and girls were attentive and could respond by naming the attributes of God that we had studied. |
Becky used a unique demonstration to illustrate that God is Holy and does not mix with sin at all. She used a glass with red water in it and poured some oil into it. Letting it sit for a short time, the oil separated from the water and rested on top of it without any mixing. |  |

 | In the Absence of Becky, Tony Mode and Johnny Huffman directed the Awanas toward the opening ceremony |
Tony reviewed the attributes of God and directed the group toward the word Gracious as another description of God. |  |
 | The boys and girls were attentive and could respond by naming the attributes of God that we had studied. They responded to the words gracious and forgiving. |

This was an outstanding night for awards with five young Sparks being recognized. They had been working hard on memorizing scriptures |  |
 | Becky discussed some bible passages in preparation for taking the Awanas to the worship center to see some of the Easter preparations. |
We walked them to the sanctuary to see the cross and the large crown of thorns over the stage area. |  |
 | Then we walked them back out in view of the large stained glass window. |
Finally we walked them by the empty tomb.The tomb and the crown of thorns had been fashioned by David and Derinda Moore. |  |

 | Johnny calls on an Awana student to lead the pledges to start the meeting. |
We were proud of th Sparks Awana student who received an award this evening. |  |
April 30 , 2025
 | For opening recreation time, the Awanas enjoy the cup stack game. This evening they wanted to get the cups as high as possible. |
They enjoy the brief fun times before we start the Awana meetings. |  |
 | Johnny Huffman starts the meeting by calling on one of the Awana students to lead the pledges to the American and Awana flags and to the Bible. |
Awards time brings recognition to three Sparks Awanas for their work with Scripture memorization, |  |
 | Recognition is given to five T&T Awanas with particular honor to the two in front who have the most accomplishment in Scripture study. |

This T&T Awana got special recognition for having more advancement patches than anyone else. |  |
 | Recognition is given to three Sparks Awanas for their work in scripture study and reciting. |
A good night of awards as two T&T and three Sparks Awanas are credited with advancements. |  |
