Ashleigh Visits on Mother's Day Weekend

May 9-12 , 2025

Ashleigh flew in from California on Friday, May 9, for a weekend visit. We had not seen her since her long trip to Oceanside, California last year for her first year of residency at the Naval hospital at Camp Pendleton. We are still learning terminology and were told that the term Intern applies to that first year of Residency. We were delighted to see her and went out to eat at the South Cobb Diner that evening and started our conversations about her medical experience there in California.

Mark was able to come out to join us on Saturday, Mqy10. Marty showed up with the gift of flowers on the left plus generous food items that were gifts from Jeff and Darla. Brenda, Ashleigh and Mark.

We decided to go out to lunch at Longhorns, one of our favorite places. We were choosing to go today rather than the busy Mother's Day tomorrow. But lots of people had that idea and it was very crowded- nevertheless, we enjoyed the occasion.

Ashleigh attended Sunday School and then church with us on May 11. They had a photo setup in the foyer so I was glad to get photos of Ashleigh and Brenda.

Mark and the dog Punkin came out to join us for a fine Mother's Day lunch.

We have enjoyed having Mark come out for Sunday dinner and it was extra special this time.

We very much enjoyed the time of fellowship and discussion with Ashleigh on Sunday evening and up until the time she took an Uber ride to the Airport to return to California. She was very interested in our scuba experience and other adventures in our family album, so we had a great time of history review. Praise the Lord for this privilege of visiting.
