CoAs_2-3

This sample of skutterudite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Skutterudite is an arsenide of cobalt with the composition CoAs_2-3. The sample at left is about 5 cm across and is from Bou Azzer, Morocco.

Tne corresponding nickel compound is called Nickel-skutterudite, NiAs_2-3.

This sample is from the same location and is about 15cm wide.
