Mg₇Al₁₈Si₃O₄₀

This sample of sapphirine is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Sapphirine is a silicate mineral of magnesium and aluminum. It has the composition Mg₇Al₁₈Si₃O₄₀. This sample is about 4x4 cm and is from Madagascar.
