Roscherite

This sample of roscherite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Roscherite is a phosphate mineral of beryllium which contains calcium, iron and manganese. It has the composition (Ca,Fe,Mn)₃Be₃(PO₄)₃(OH)₃.2H₂O. This sample is about 3x5 cm and is from Lavra da Ilha pegmatite, Itinga, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
