This sample of sinhalite is displayed in the Simpsonite Museum of Natural History. Sinhalite is a boron-containing oxide mineral of aluminum and magnesium. It has the composition MgAlBO. These gems are 100.9 and 109.8 carats and are from Sri Lanka.
