To New Orleans to Celebrate the Birth of Jordan

August 1999

Jordan Elizabeth Nave was born in New Orleans on August 6. Jordan was almost a week old by the time we got down there to see her. She came a bit early and Rod was in San Antonio. He got back and had surgery for removal of a skin cancer and finally we got to launch down to see the new granddaughter.

Jeff and Darla were careful to spend time with Ashleigh so that she wouldn't feel displaced by the new baby.

Grandma and Granddad took Ashleigh on a special trip to the Riverwalk and across the Mississippi River on the ferry.

Granddad gets a chance to nap with Jordan - er, at least Granddad is napping.

Grandma Brenda proudly holds a sleeping Jordan. Ashleigh enjoys experimenting with the van, but she's got a lot of growing to do to reach those pedals.

Dave and Judy came over and we got Ashleigh and Jordan together with both sets of grandparents.

We enjoyed the girls in the early morning, with Ashleigh saying good morning to her little sister.
