Hydrangea Haven

We have enjoyed the greening of the hydrangea plants in our side garden this spring and are now enjoying their blooms. We have various shades of blue and pink. Note the pots of red impatiens flowers, including a couple of pots in the new plant cart that Mark made for us.

These are two of our youngest hydrangeas, so we were surprised by the difference of pink and blue. These photos were taken at about 7:30pm.

This darker red bloom is on one of our older and larger plants.

This photo of the blue hydrangea is a few days earlier than the above, and also taken in brighter light at about 5:30pm.

This pink-flowered plant is a little younger than the above and the blooms are at an earlier stage.

This shows more detail of the development of the pink bloom on the young plant.

Two pots of red Impatiens point the way into the small garden of hydrangeas as well as a collection of a half-dozen bird feeders.

A few more days of growth have given dramatic color to these red blooms of one of our more mature hydrangeas.

This dramatic bloom stands out in the lush green collection of leaves, particularly near sundown.

This beautiful pair of lush hydrangeas is is full view in the morning from our breakfast table. for a few days the view was enhanced by these bright yellow blossoms.
