MFBC Trunk or Treat Celebration
with Mableton Elementary School

Handing our free popcorn and snowcones is something we have done for several years to contribute to Mableton Elementary's fall celebration. Gail Wade, Cheryl Anthony, Bob Wade and Barbara Floyd provide popcorn later in the event.

This starts a survey of the "Trunks" provided by MFBC starting across from our snacks and moving clockwise around the collection of trunks. Barbara Mewborn and granddaughter Ally Reyes provide treats at this first Trunk.

Families with elementary grade children, but also younger and older circulated to the trunks for treats.

Some of the visitors were quite young and accompanied by grandparents.

Matthew and Sarah Smith are next with their "Great Pumpkin" trunk.

Next are treats for a helmeted warrier.

Peter and Danielle Thompson have an elaborate spooky theme.

Spooky maybe, but these children liked it and were not frightened.

All ages found this scene very friendly.

Lee and Leigh Miller had a friendly toss game that even the youngest enjoyed.

A young tosser enjoyed it, and those who were watching were entertained.

On the other side of our set of Trunks we find Jordyn and Niya Doyle, and their big sister Jay Lynn with their family trunk.

This group of students from Georgia Tech were invited to participate and contributed a lot of fun to the gathering.

Marina Thompson contributed a toss game that was very popular with the youngest visitors.

Marina gets down to the level of this young warrier.

I don't know what kind of special powers this youngster has, but Marina is right there with him!

The little ones loved this soft toss game that Marina provided.

Lonnie Reyes and Xander Reyes manned the Sno-Cone machine for the evening and distributed all the ice from our big cooler. This was probably the biggest group that we have served.

Laura Mode and Jo Templeton provide the flavored syrup for the snowcones.

From our popcorn and snowcone stands you could look across the road to the large crowd gathered around our 10 Trunk or Treat stations.

As the evening progressed, the crowd got larger and large. Barbara Mewborn and Ally Reyes in the foreground of the largest group I have seen at one of these events.

Laura Mode provides tasty syrup for the snowcones for these youngsters. Laura was dedicated to the task all evening.
