Mark Repairs the Roof of Sheds
August 22, 2020
| Rod had put a metal roof between the back sheds to cover his lumber storage frame a few years back, and it was a disaster - rusted out and disintegrated. Mark got a couple of sheets of pressure-treated 3/4 ply plus shingles and tar paper and came out to fix it. |
I had dreaded the job of fitting plywood under the eaves, but Mark knew just how to do it. He measured, then ripped the ply in the center so we could slide it under both eaves. It worked beautifully. Then we tarpapered it. | |
| It was good to know that I would now have a solid roof with the strong plywood, and could get up there to clean off leaves, etc. |
Rod provided ground support for things like cutting the tar paper.
| Mark tarpapered and shingled the roof section and patched a spot on the nearer shed roof, and the whole project was finished in less than half a day. A good example of his experience and expertise in construction. It was a great relief to me to have that area covered with a roof. |
With us staying at home during the Covid crisis and him being off work, we have had the blessing of visiting with him much more than has been the norm, and we have really appreciated those visits, including lunch on many Sundays.
