The Zuiderdam

This was the day of beginning for our Alaska Inside Passage tour with Reasons to Believe. We checked out of our hotel on Robson Street in Vancouver and caught a taxi for the short ride over to Canada Place to check in for the cruise at about 11am. The taxi drove down the ramp into Canada Place and we were able to immediately transfer our specially tagged baggage to a waiting attendant who put it on a cart for delivery to our stateroom.

This picture of the Zuiderdam was taken in Skagway. Brenda is heading back to the ship after our rail trip up to White Pass. In Vancouver we were so busy with the boarding process that we never found a position from which to photograph our own ship. And most of the time, we were taking pictures from it, not of it.

Inside Passage to Alaska

This map shows our ports of call and my guess as to the route. Threading your way through all those islands looks complicated! We go first to Juneau, then to Skagway. We travel to Glacier Bay and then stop at Ketchikan on the way back.
