John C. Lennox

He has had two public debates with Richard Dawkins, one in Birmingham, AL in 2007 about ideas in "The God Delusion" and the second in 2008 on the question "Has science buried God?". That second debate was held in the Oxford Natural History Museum, the place where in 1860 Thomas Henry Huxley had his famous interchange with Bishop Samuel Wilberforce over Darwin's Origin of Species.

He has had two public debates with Christopher Hitchens, one in Usher Hall at the Edinburgh Festival in 2008 and the second at Samford University in Birmingham, AL in 2009. He has also debated Victor Stenger and others in Australia. He debated Michael Shermer and had a moderated discussion with Peter Atkins in Australia in 2009.
